The Drop Offs are a Woodstock-VT-based band featuring a cast of
well-travelled musicians who all settled in the Upper Valley and formed a
local group to play their own songs and favorite covers. Mike Calabrese:
drums, vocals (Lake Street Dive), Avi Salloway: guitar, vocals (Billy
Wylder, Bombino), Ben Kogan: bass, vocals (Ben Kogan Band, David
Wax Museum), Michael Zsoldos: tenor sax (Paquito D’Rivera, Conver-
gence Project), Elizabeth Frascoia: trombone, vocals (St. Vincent, Michael
Bolton), Alex Beram: trombone (John Brown’s Body) Special Guests:
Steeve Valcourt and Nadine Niles from Lakou Mizik.
Gathering to rehearse and play typically after dropping their kids off at school (hence the name), each member brought songs to the table, ranging from choice cuts from The Rebirth Brass Band, Wes Montgomery, and The Band, to original compositions fit for a seven piece group with a full horn section. You can expect an eclectic and electric set with something for everyone, with joy and passion for music and community in the air. The band will make their Chandler debut following their packed-house performance at the Town Hall Theater in Woodstock. Come out for a night of captivating live music, supporting local musicians and Chandler Music Hall.
